Festive Ways to Upgrade Your Fourth of July Fun

At The Degnan Group at Key Realty, we love celebrating holidays. Who doesn’t love an excuse to get together with friends and family and be festive? And what better holiday to celebrate than the Fourth of July? To commemorate the independence of our country, Fourth of July is known for its explosive fireworks, waving American flags, fun parades, and family-fun picnics and barbecues.

So if you’re on the docket for hosting a Fourth of July party this summer, take a look at these fun tips and tricks to embrace the patriotic cheer!

1. Red, white, and blue drinks

A white metal bucket full of ice and refreshing drinks is a classic summer barbecue staple. But why not use it as an added decorating tool, too? Fill your ice bucket with berry-flavored juices or sodas. Look for the vibrant reds and blues in the drink aisle. So patriotic!

2. Sun supplies station

The summer means warm sun, but harmful UV rays! Protect yourself and your guests by setting up a fun “sun station.” Stock the station with rolled towels, sunblock, and American-flag-themed visors and sunglasses.

3. Sparkling favors

Keep the party favors trend alive and send your guests home with sparklers. Tie festive red, white, and blue ribbon around a few sparklers and ta-da! You have the perfect party favor.

4. Delicious popsicles

Not only are popsicles easy to make, but require zero clean-up! Create your own tasty popsicles with any flavor juice in a popsicle mold, and pop them in the freezer for a few hours. A creative dessert idea with little effort.

5. Fruity ice cubes

Who said ice cubes had to be boring? Spruce up the summer drink essential by adding fruit to the ice tray. Start off with blueberries and strawberries to give off a patriotic vibe.

6. Popcorn bar

We love any excuse to have a make-your-own dessert/snack bar. Although the summer is a bit too warm to hold an ice cream station, a popcorn bar is a great substitute. In festive buckets and bowls, place fun candies and toppings to put on top of your popcorn. Salty or sweet, you decide!

7. Patriotic photo backdrop

Do you have a big American flag lying around your house? Hang it up outside and use it as a festive photo backdrop for your guests. Provide fun American-themed props and take some photos. Be sure to share them on your Facebook and Instagram!
